Be Mine!

3 months old in the rocking chair

We're taking a picture of her in this chair every month. Look back to see how much she's grown!

Now we get the smiles!

Fun and Games

Sometimes I lay her here on the ottoman and change her. (I know, I'm lazy!). She used to fit with room to spare, but she's outgrowing it now.

Give daddy a smile!

She just started noticing the lights and moving animals on her bouncer. Her face says it all.

Time to rest.

Maybe she's not quite ready for this yet :-)
Yum!

Audrey the Mistreated Reindeer

Blame daddy.

Audrey's Ornaments

I finally took the tree down last week. I was sad to admit that Christmas was over. These are Audrey's many ornaments.

Another playdate with the Chambers

Audrey and I went to visit the Chambers again last Friday. We also got too see Pegah one last time before she had to head back to college.

Owen, Pegah, Molly, and Audrey. Molly couldn't get enough of Audrey. She wanted to hold her the entire time.
Molly and Owen love to pet Audrey.

Christy, Audrey, and Molly

Molly made me some macaroni art while Audrey and I watched Yo Gabba, Gabba. This is the one kid's show I know and that's just because they make fun of it on the Soup.

I "accidentally" forgot to take Molly's masterpiece when we left. The circles are balloons. I was pretty impressed with her gluing skills. She didn't spill any, even when she was filling the shells to the brim.

Molly Quotes:
Molly took a front row seat to watch me nurse Audrey. I was a little worried about what she was going to say. When she finally spoke, she gave a big smile and said "Baby Audrey likes to eat you, Amber". She said this like it was the most logical thing in the world. Christy tried to explain to her "You get your milk from the refrigerator, but baby Audrey gets her milk from Amber". Molly looked at Christy and said an emphatic "no", as if to say, stop pulling my leg.

As Owen started to approach Audrey, Molly said to him "No, Owen, she's just a baby. You have to be gentle". (This as she violently pushes him away.)

"Oh, Amber, Baby Audrey is so cute. Her nose is so small. Her chin is so small. Her hands are so small. Her feet are so small. Her mouth is so small. She's got big ears!"

Laying around

Audrey just recently started playing with this toy and really enjoys it. She stares up at it while it plays music and flashes lights. The hanging toys trigger the lights and sounds, but for now we just have it set to play by itself.

You can't make me do tummy time. I'll just lay my head down until you give up!

Bath time in the big tub

We just started giving Audrey baths in the tub, rather than sponge baths on the kitchen island. The first time she didn't care for it at all, which didn't surprise us because she never liked the sponge baths. This time her dear old dad climbed into the tub and squatted there during the entire bath. He played with her the whole time and she really seemed to enjoy herself. She splashed around and didn't mind when we washed her. Too bad his knees are killing him now.

All cleaned up and dressed for bed.

i love daddy

This onesie is the first thing Chris bought for Audrey. When he found out it was a girl, he couldn't wait to run out and buy "I love daddy" clothes. He bought this at Kohl's one day while I was trying on maternity clothes. Apparently, the cashier gave him a hard time for not buying a "mommy" onsie too. Baffled, Chris's response was, "Well, she can buy her own".

She rolled over for the first time today. It was from her tummy onto her back. She was motivated by her despise of tummy time. I put her back on her tummy 4 times and she rolled each time.
Then I got out the pillow. She can't roll off it yet. Notice the bald spot on her head? She sleeps with her cheek to the mattress, but when she wakes up she lays there and almost violently turns her head from side to side. I think that's what's causing it and the reason why it's in the middle.
