Hospital Visitors

Grandpa Don and Grandma Mariza arrived Friday afternoon and stayed through Saturday afternoon. They got a hotel down the road and came to the hospital for several short visits. They also came home with us for a little while after we were discharged. It was really special for me to see my dad with Audrey. He held her a lot and was really sweet with her. It was obvious that she captured his heart. Like dad, Mariza was also very excited to see the baby and shed more than just a couple tears.

Amber’s friend, Darcy, also came to visit Friday evening. She got the blow by blow story of our time in the hospital. She thought Audrey was really cute and we, of course, have to agree.

Christy stopped by Thursday night for a few hours. Chris was especially happy to see her because she came with Mexican take out. At this point we were starting to settle in at the hospital and things were calming down. Christy held Audrey and we finally ate our first meal together. Then she busted out the camera and took lots of great pictures of our new family.
