New Highchair
Audrey has been eating rice cereal 2-3 times a day for a week now. On Sunday we bought her a highchair so that we could stop feeding her in the swing. She's not strong enough to sit up yet, so the reclining feature on this chair very helpful.
I watched video reviews for highchairs on www.babygizmo.com. Their reviews are extrememly helpful! A mom demonstrates how to use the product and gives feedback. Here's the 3 minute review of our chair http://www.babygizmo.com/p/chicco_polly_highchair_-_double_pad_-_adventure/11791149.html

Toys, Sleeping on Side
Aunt Jen got Audrey this toy for Christmas. She can spin the pinwheel now. It's amazing how she's suddenly able to work her toys. Two weeks ago she wouldn't even look at them!
Chris came up with a new technique to get Audrey to fall asleep- pin one arm down with the Glow Worm and squeeze the belly to activate the light and music, put the Whoozit in the other arm so she can pet it. It works!Audrey likes to sleep on her side now, but only the right side. Sometimes she's on her playmat, it's suddenly quiet, and she's passed out. When Cary and Kim were visiting last week, she rolled from her back to her belly for the first time while on the mat and had an amazing smile filled with pride when she looked up and realized everything was different. She did it again today and started to cry because she couldn't figure out how to turn back onto her back. The poor kid hates tummy time, but is now imposing it on herself!
Starting Solids
Last Friday we started giving Audrey 1 Tablespoon of rice cereal mixed with breast milk 2 times a day. It doesn't look like it in these pictures, but she's actually doing really well with the cereal. And I'm slowly improving at actually getting the cereal in her mouth :-)
I've also given her formula a couple times this last week. She hasn't been nursing well and I thought maybe it was my milk. We put her on baby Zantac and that's actually helped tremendously. It appears that she had reflux and that was causing the problem. She has always refused a bottle, so I was impressed to see her holding it since she's only had it a couple times. What a smartie!
