Sprinkler Park

We went to the sprinkler park today. We had only been once before and that was last summer so I was curious to see how Audrey would like it now that she's older. We stayed for more than two hours and she had a blast. It took her a long time to approach the water, but Christy showed her this little spinkler and she played with it for a bit. Mommy sat in the shade :-)

Her favorite part though was wandering around and seeing what all the strangers were up to...trying take part in their conversations, eat their food, climb into their strollers, you name it.

I love that this place is fenced in.

Molly and Owen enjoying the water.

I think Molly had the best time of all!

Christy and Audrey

Playtime

I got Audrey this baby doll for her first birthday, after just finding out that she was going to be a big sister. About two months ago she started taking a real interest in it. She feeds her, kisses her, cuddles her, covers her with a blanket, and last week became obsessed with pushing her around in the toy stroller. And she's appropriately wearing one of the many "big sister" shirts Grandma Izland has bought her. She says "bye", waves, and takes off to push her in circles around the kitchen island.

Grandma went with us one day to Gymboree. Here they are doing Audrey's favorite game, "the freeze".

Audrey at the toddler play area in the mall. She loves climbing on everything and interacting with the other kids.

Ahhhhh....they're all quietly entertained.

Weeeeeeeee!

Daddy and Me

Audrey loves playing with shoes, especially when they belong to daddy.

Chris bought himself two giant Nerf guns. Here he using one with Audrey for the first time. He shoots stuff and she retrieves the bullets. Now their thing is to line up her toys at the end of the upstairs hallway and he shoots them all down.

Sitting in daddy's chair, covering up with a blanket like mommy...before she was in the third trimester and always burning up.

Learning to color

Audrey has her very own picnic table in the backyard.

Duck Pond

We went with the Chambers a while back to feed the ducks at a local pond. Audrey wasn't too interested in the ducks. She preferred to spend her time playing chase. And guess who had to do all the chasing? grrrr.....

Molly going after a duck

Audrey eating the stale bread that she was supposed to feed to the ducks.

Oh, good, I have a helper to retrieve my little wanderer.

Duck Pond #2. This is just a game we played at the Cedar Park Heritage Festival. Audrey enjoyed playing in the water so much that she took about five minutes to pick a duck to see what she won. We picked out a pink ball, the one that Lila is playing with above. Daddy wanted a plastic Ninja sword. Oh, daddy!

Bubbles!

Audrey sure loves the bubbles. These are the "gymboree" brand bubbles. They last forever, so here she is with them still in her hair.

And more bubbles outside

Miss independent wants to blow them herself. Lucky for her it was a windy day.

Audrey and Ethan's Rooms

Ethan's Room!

As you can see, Ethan got most of Audrey's furniture. The pictures below are the "before" of Audrey's room. Forgot to take pictures of the "after".

3D Ultrasound at 33 weeks

On Wednesday we did the second half of our 3D ultrasound. We can't believe how much he's grown in less than a month. His cheeks are filling out and he has little chubby rolls on his arms. The ultrasound tech said that the blurry part to the left is my placenta and that he's snuggled against it to feel my heartbeat. In this picture he's sucking on his hand. We saw him poke his tongue out while he had it to his mouth.

I like to think he's smiling.

Sorry, Ethan! I had to do it!

Bluebonnets

Thanks, Allen, for taking such great pictures of us in the bluebonnets!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Aunt Jen, Uncle Allen, and Cousin Kylie came to visit for Easter. The girls had soooooo much fun together, laughing and chasing one another. The day before Easter we went to an Easter Egg Hunt that our neighborhood hosts every year.

Kylie had already been to two egg hunts this year so she knew just what to do!

Audrey was less enthusiastic, but had lots of fun on Easter picking up eggs in the backyard.
