I included from pictures from my sketchbook last time. I try to draw a quick sketch every night as a sort of journal, but I end up doing it only a few times a month. You can click for a larger size.
Some of these date back to Ethan's birth.
I extend my apologies in advance to anybody I've depicted :)

Ethan isn't crawling yet, but he has found his own way of maneuvering to reach things.

Mystery of the Safety Pop Stick
I may have told you this story already. It's currently one of my favorites.
I didn't have any pictures of the incident, so I'm including some artist renderings (mine). You can click to get a larger size.
Amber gave Audrey a safety pop. She loves lollipops. Anyway, after she'd finished eating it, I noticed she didn't have the stick anymore. I started asking her "Audrey, where's the stick?", to which she'd only respond, "Look Daddy, hole" and point at Ethan's highchair.
I started to get a little panicked that maybe she'd eaten the stick, but she so consistently answered my question with the same response that I thought I'd look into it.
Sure enough, there was a faint glimmer in the tiny hole of the highchair leg. I decided to take it apart.
Mystery solved. Apparently she's be stockpiling junk in there for some time. Up until we moved the high chair into the garage for storage (Ethan now uses a different chair), I'd still catch her slinking over to the highchair to squirrel away some little bit of trash.

Calling Grandma
The other day, we were playing in the backyard. Ethan was doing his tummy time on a blanket with Mommy, and Audrey was playing with a toy telephone.
Audrey: "I call Grandma. Hi Grandma. How doing?"

Called moon
Last night Audrey was helping me take out the trash and it was getting dark outside.
* I was wrong; it's actually a waxing crescent.
Audrey: | "Look, daddy; moon!" |
Me: | "Very good, sweetie. Yes, I believe that's called a waxing gibbous*" |
Audrey: | "No, daddy. Called moon." |

Art with Mommy II - Mush
Night night, Daddy
This is a game Audrey plays where she takes the pillows off the couch and covers up under Ethan's playmat. Then she wants Daddy to lay down too.
We say "Night night" to each other and she giggles. Until she gets bored, and we move on to another game. Laying quietly seems to take a great deal of concentration for her, so the game doesn't usually last long.
